Introduction

A pyrethroid is an organic compound similar to the natural pyrethrins, which are produced by the flowers of pyrethrums (Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium and C. coccineum). Pyrethroids are used as commercial and household insecticides.

In household concentrations pyrethroids are generally harmless to humans. However, pyrethroids are toxic to beneficial insects such as bees, dragonflies, mayflies, gadflies, and some other invertebrates, including those that constitute the base of aquatic and terrestrial food webs. Pyrethroids are toxic to aquatic organisms including fish.

Dosage :

• Residual Surface Spray – 10ml of Shastra 2.5 F/1 Liter of water to cover 10 to 20 sqm area.
• Bed Net Impregnation – 1ml Shastra per square meter of net area. Frequency :
• Once in 3 months depending on the infestation level.

Mode Of Action
Ingestion and direct contact. Shastra acts on nerve membranes by delaying the closing of the activation gate for the sodium ion, paralyzing the insect nervous system giving a quick knockdown effect

Application
Control of cockroaches, mosquitoes and houseflies as residual spray on surface. Areas of Application-Houses, Factories, Offices, Marketplaces, Hospitals, Hotels, Cattle sheds etc. • Bed net impregnation to protect against adult mosquitoes
