Ghasa is a selective herbicide that offers broad-spectrum weed control in cotton crops with its innovative dual action.
The herbicide is easy to apply, safe for the environment, and has low mammalian toxicity.
Mode of action
Ghasa herbicide is a combination of two active ingredients. The pyritobac sodium component is absorbed by roots and shoots and moves to growing points where it inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) in amino acid synthesis, effectively controlling weeds.
Quizalofop-ethyl 4% MEC in Ghasa predominantly inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the meristem tissues of grassy weeds.
Effects of ghasa on weeds
Yellowing of weeds within 12 hours of application.
Necrosis or death of terminal bud within 24-48 hours.
Stoppage or cessation of growth of leaves and shoots.
Complete burndown of broad leaf and narrow leaf weeds.
New weeds will germinate but will be reddish in colour and wither in 1-2 days.
Control weeds effectively, and do not cause any physical injury to cotton plants if sprayed as advised.
